I’m a writer, elementary school teacher, and mom from North Florida. Ever since I was a child, I’ve always loved books full of friendship, self-discovery, and heart. My favorites are the ones that helped me to learn about the world, myself, and the lives of others (especially when they made me laugh along the way!). Now, I’m lucky to get to write and share fun, heartfelt stories of my own. My debut novel, Roll for Initiative, is a Dungeons & Dragons themed coming-of-age novel about finding your voice and believing in your best nerdy self. It has been nominated for the 2026 Sasquatch Reading Award, the 2025 Sunshine State Young Reader Award, the 2025 Prairie Pasque Award, the 2025 Garden State Children's Book Award, and the 2025 NÄ“nÄ“ Award. It was also listed as one of Kirkus's Best Middle Grade Books of 2022.
My day job’s pretty sweet, too. As a third-grade ELA teacher, I get to spend my days reading and writing with a bunch of awesome kids. When I'm not teaching or writing, I like baking, watching hockey, lurking around the comic shop, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. My D&D character is a tiefling rogue named Lilith, Toad is my go-to MarioKart character, and my favorite Pokemon is Eevee.
